The KW Designed Solutions breech lock closure high pressure testing vessel, utilises one of our most robust, efficient and quick-acting closures.

The breech lock closure is an innovatively engineered closure, which allows the operator to rapidly open or close the pressure vessel, with a simple 1/8th to 1/16th turn of a handle.

The slim-line nature of the breech lock closure, allows the body of the pressure vessel to remain slender and parallel. This enables the future benefit of being able to retrofit heat transfer jackets to the OD of the pressure vessel if required.

These pressure vessels have a small footprint, as they are used vertically and allow the Device Under Test (DUT) to be attached to the underside of the closure; reducing the amount of manual handling required.

Our breech-lock closure pressure vessel can also be used in a horizontal position. We incorporate a vessel and closure support frame into the design; ensuring closure alignment is maintained.

KW Designed Solutions breech lock closure pressure vessels are supplied with operating pressure of up to 2000 bar and temperatures ranges from -50°C to +300°C.

Applications and Customer Uses

Our unique, innovative, breech lock closure pressure vessel are a popular choice for customers who work within the energy and subsea industry sectors.

The ease of handling, speed of use and increased safety, provide the customer with the perfect solution for use in arduous operating environments.

Breech lock closure pressure vessels are typically used for conducting qualification, production testing on products, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), which include:

  • Cables
  • CIMVs and Other Types of Well Intervention Tools
  • Hoses
  • Hydraulic Connectors
  • Penetrators
  • ROV Systems
  • Sensor Assemblies
  • Subsea Electrical Components

We can also supply additional equipment, associated with advanced subsea simulation hyperbaric testing; enabling the creation of highly specialised test environments.

Our skilled team has the capability to simulate real-life operating conditions, such as the agitation of sand and silt media, heating and cooling of test media or the ability to manipulate components within the vessel. This allows additional functionality such as mate/ de-mate of electrical or hydraulic connectors.

KW Designed Solutions technological expertise enables us to provide the perfect solution for the most specific, detailed and demanding requirements.
