KW Designed Solutions autoclaves are used in both medical and industrial laboratories. HPHT autoclaves are commonly associated with industrial applications, that operate at high pressure and temperature; utilising a large access closure which enables quick and efficient loading and unloading.
Many autoclaves are typically of the non-stirred type (with no agitation) but in many cases our clients require the additional functionality of a stirrer. This enables them to agitate the internal media and/ or to provide even temperature distribution of the items under test.
KW Designed Solutions autoclaves are supplied with internal diameters of 100mm to 400mm, volumes between 1 litre to 500 litres, operating pressure of up to 2000 bar (29,000 psi) and temperatures up to 325°C.
Our autoclaves are generally manufactured from exotic types of material such as Hastelloy, Inconel or Titanium. In some cases Carbon, Alloy or Type 316 Stainless Steel is also deemed suitable and can sometimes be less expensive. They can even be lined with a more Exotic Steel.
It is highly important that the material of construction is specifically chosen, to suit the intended project, due to the potentially extremely corrosive environments. This ensures the autoclave can operate with minimal or no adverse effects, throughout the duration of the test.
KW Designed Solutions offers a completely flexible approach to the autoclave vessel design process; allowing us to incorporate any features required by our customers.
Often other supplier’s standard equipment may not meet the operating criteria or may need modification at additional expense. We design custom systems to meet our customer’s exact specifications and incorporate all the features and functionality required. This minimises cost, reduces lead time, greatly reduces the requirement for product replacement and provides an excellent ROI.
