ASME Certified Company
The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) is provided by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The section of the ASME BPVC that governs most code pressure vessels is ASME Section VIII – Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels.
Within the ASME Section VIII, there are three divisions: 1, 2 and 3.
KW Designed Solutions Ltd is just one of six Section VIII Division 2, U2 – Pressure Vessel (Alternative Rules for Pressure Vessels) companies and the only Section VIII Division 3, U3 High-Pressure Vessel companies in the United Kingdom, with only 46 in the world.
The ASME Single Certification Mark indicates a commitment to safety and quality. Therefore, any pressure vessel stamped with the mark will have been built strictly following the provisions of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
The mark is a recognition that our certified quality assurance program for the U2 and U3 Pressure Vessels has followed all aspects of the applicable ASME Code or Standard and met the rigorous requirements of ASME’s Conformity Assessment Certification program.

The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors
Our pressure testing systems and pressure test chambers are used for simulating harsh in-service environmental conditions and they’re meticulously designed by our own experienced engineers and manufactured for a broad range of industries and sectors for developing new technologies, materials testing, research testing, production testing and manufacturing output.
KW Designed Solutions Ltd is authorised to apply the ‘NB’ mark and register boilers, pressure vessels or other pressure retaining items manufactured in accordance with ASME designators U2 Pressure Vessels and U3 High Pressure Vessels.
The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors is the worldwide leader in pressure equipment safety. Established in 1919 to promote greater safety to life and property through uniformity in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of pressure equipment.
Registration with the National Board indicates that a pressure retaining item is constructed in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and is inspected by a qualified National Board Commissioned Inspector.


High Pressure Testing Systems Manufactured, Assembled and Tested
Our highly skilled team of fully certified mechanical, electrical and controls engineers manufacture, assemble and test our high-pressure testing systems in our purpose-built Chorley, Lancashire, England facility.
They possess a wide range of experience and specialist skills, use advanced production and project management systems and have access to the most up-to-date tooling.
High Pressure Testing Systems Installed and Commissioned with Basic and Advanced Operator Training
We manage all processes and safety requirements involved with the installation of our high pressure testing equipment; using specialist machine moving sub-contractors for the positioning and siting of heavier equipment.
Once in-situ, our highly-skilled and reputable engineers will fully complete the installation project; conducting a final Site Acceptance Test (SAT), before the project is signed off by the customer.
