KW Designed Solutions developed our KWik-Lok closure high pressure vessel which is equipped with our unique automated quick-acting closure. The KWik-Lok closure has been innovatively engineered as a result of working closely with our customers over many years. Using electrically actuated integrated tilting chocks, safely and securely lock the closure plug-in position. Robust in design; providing quick and easy opening and closing functionality of the pressure vessel at the push of a button.

Created with our existing customers in mind, the concept was driven to provide a much more compact solution, for medium to large-sized pressure vessels that require a quick-locking closure mechanism. The compact and slender nature of the KWik-Lok closure design allows the body and neck of the pressure vessel to be manufactured from minimal material quantities; making manufacturing costs more competitive than other vessel types. It also ensures that no manual handling of the heavy chocks is required; they simply remain located within the plug, whilst tilting into the wall of the pressure vessel body when actuated.

The closure remains low weight and has numerous attachment points; meaning it can be raised and lowered using a standard hoist, with a low to moderate lifting capacity. The KWik-Lok closure comes with a Plug Guidance System (PGS) for alignment with the vessel and attachment points are also included on the underside of the closure, for hanging off the Device Under Test (DUT).

Used in vertical orientation, these high pressure vessels have a relatively small footprint, taking up minimal shop-floor space. If required, the vessel can be provided with its own closure handling system, which can be installed below ground level or supplied with its own structural safety enclosure.
