High pressure hydrostatic pressure was carefully applied to a newly developed hydrocarbon dew-point analyser, which includes advanced detection technology built into the device.
The analyser requires high pressure testing to obtain a Canadian Registration Number (CRN), the Canadian approval for reviewing, registering and tracking devices that hold pressure. If a glass-to-metal seal is present in the design, the product must withstand ten times its maximum operating pressure.
These types of analysers are designed for trace moisture measurement and are essential for ensuring quality, safety and efficiency in thousands of applications across a wide range of industries.
The quality of food, medicines, semi-conductors and thousands of manufactured goods depends on reliable measurements of critical parameters such as humidity, oxygen, CO, N2, H2, hydrocarbons, pressure, or CO2 during production, storage and transport. Hydrocarbon dew-point analysers are preferred by most gas producers and pipeline operators around the world.
The analyser was attached to our automated pressure test system and positioned in one of our safely enclosed test cells with cameras positioned for monitoring and storing the test procedure. With a pre-set maximum pressure of 1000 bar, controlled pressure was applied to determine when the analyser would achieve its burst point.
