Another batch of manufactured high-pressure fluid system assemblies was recently gas tested in our multifunctional test pit.
These assemblies have been designed to distribute red diesel by the same specialists well-underway with developing innovative technologies to refuel, store and distribute hydrogen conveniently and economically, needed to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-powered vehicles.
Pressure testing the assemblies includes activating and isolating multiple parts of the assembly, allowing for pressures ranging from almost 500 bar up to 800 bar to be carefully flowed through and then held at pressure through dedicated flow streams and regions.
A blended mix of high-pressure nitrogen and helium is used to validate the parts and identify potential leaks due to the interchange of fittings and fabricated subassemblies.
Once these have been pressure tested, we’ll pack and transfer them to another test facility- part of a market-leading international provider of testing solutions in the automotive and mobility sector – for further development testing to meet the various requirements for validation. We’ll then receive the assemblies back for further high-pressure testing before finally sending them to our customer.
Our test engineers provide a full pressure testing service, including a test certificate, test engineer’s report and test chart data.
