(Ref: SO615)
A pressure vessel used for qualification testing distributed buoyancy modules and drill riser buoyancy modules for subsea, deepwater oil and gas sectors.
The test chamber has an automated quick-acting closure system, which comprises of a plug and set of retaining chocks, which are powered by hydraulics and operated by a control panel.
The pressure vessel closure is required to be inserted and removed using a hoist. The operator aligns the guide bushes of the plug guidance system, prior to engagement, using a handle attached to the plug guidance frame.
The pressure vessel body has two fluid ports for connecting the fluid control system and/ or fill, purge and partial drain requirements and two ports for the clients tooling and/ or electrical feed through requirements.
