Supply of pressure testing systems
KW Designed Solutions are working on a number of new projects currently, both within the Oil and Gas sector as well as others as we continue our drive to increase our presence and growth in new market sectors, below are examples of some of the innovative projects currently going through our new 8000sq/ft facility in Chorley, Lancashire.
An industry leader in the manufacture, development and supply of magnesium products to the technology industry worldwide has engaged with KW Designed Solutions for the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of an innovative pressure testing system including a manual pressure control system to facilitate the testing of components used within the global fracking industry. Our vertically orientated threaded closure pressure vessel was proposed and decided upon which has an easy to handle, safe, reliable single operator closure utilising a unique smooth-form thread and low friction coating, allowing effortless opening and closing of the pressure vessel without the need for tooling.
Our manual pressure control system (MPCS) will allow the operator to control the fill, purge and drain valves, it also incorporates a pressure relief valve (PRV) for added safety and a pressure transmitter (PT) for data logging. Maximum operating pressure of 1034 bar (15,000 psi) and design temperature from 0 to 50°C.
KW Designed Solutions have also started a new project with an industry leader in the development and implementation of innovative metering solutions to the water industry. A 122ltr volume pressure vessel will be provided with an operating pressure of 5 bar and a working temperature of between 20°C and 60°C. The pressure vessel will have both temperature and pressure control systems.
The testing department of one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies has placed an order with KW Designed Solutions for the supply of a pressure testing system to facilitate the testing of subsea electrical harnesses. Our actuated chock closure pressure vessel was chosen for this requirement which will provide the operator with a simple and quick opening and closing functionality. The pressure vessel will have a maximum operating pressure of 690 bar and a volume of 635 litres. Also included within the scope of supply will be a fully automated pressure control system (PLC/HMI) with data logging capabilities.
