Firstly, a massive thank you to our loyal customers and suppliers for their continued support during this pandemic, also the dedicated key front-line workers and to the UK government for the support, they have given to companies unable to operate normally due to Coronavirus over the past few months.
We’re delighted to have all of our employees back from Furlough and working for KW Group, either safely at our premises manufacturing our turnkey hyperbaric test systems, or working from home.
Our in-house KW Pressure Testing facility is now fully operational, which will allow companies the option of outsourcing testing if investment in CAPEX equipment is challenging in the current global situation.
We are pleased to see positive signs emerging with some high-value orders currently pending and also a growing level of enquiries. Our customers are continuing to invest in research and product development so that they are ready to move quickly, ensuring they retain their market share. We can see that this pandemic is different from a recession in that the demand is still there but has been held back due to COVID-19, so once the brakes can come off safely, we should hopefully see the demand return more quickly than in a general economic recession.
Ensuring we continue to provide turnkey test systems to as many countries as possible, will further help our growth and recovery as we increase our global footprint. We now have representation in South America and France, we are also in discussions with companies in Norway and North America to bring on board further distributors and business development partners to ensure our initial entry into these markets can be further enhanced.
The Far East is still a potential market and one which KW will be looking to in the future to locate and engage suitable partners to help us explore the growing opportunities that exist in this region.
During this pandemic, we have had some time for reflection and have used this as an opportunity to look inwards at our business in more detail and further improve the way in which we operate. This has allowed us to positively and effectively realign the business structure and focus on enhancing business operations, improving both KW Designed Solutions and KW Pressure Testing’s existing and new customer experience.
We’re pleased that our new ERP system, designed and developed for our complex manufacturing and assembly requirements by EMAX has now been implemented across all departments. In line with this, we have taken the time to implement manufacturing improvements into our production assembly plant and pressure testing facility to create a more efficient space and workflow and to further improve and enhance the service we provide to our customers.
We’ll continue as always to operate safely with the health and safety of our employees, customers and suppliers being of utmost importance to everything we do and follow government advice at all times.
We wish everyone and every company the very best at this time and hope that they can all manage the current challenges they may face and come out the other side safely and securely.
Thank you from us all at the KW Group.
