Here we have a huge hyperbaric pressure testing system designed and manufactured for a global defence and security component manufacturer.
With an internal volume in excess of 30,000 litres and an internal bore of 2.2 metres, the pressure system is capable of testing 5 tonnes of specialist equipment at a time. Test components are loaded onto a bogie, a second bogie side shifts in line with the internally mounted rails, test components are then smoothly transferred into the test chamber.
Our experienced engineers designed an automated quick-acting bayonet closure for the pressure test chamber built for validating technologically advanced subsea components to hydrostatic loads at a controlled rate, with specific test profiles and procedures and for capturing essential test data.
The hyperbaric test chamber will be positioned in a pit and will also include fluid holding tanks mounted onto a bespoke mezzanine platform with a safe working load in excess of 40,000 kg, in addition to an ultraviolet filtration loop to mitigate the risk of bacteria forming within the fluid holding tanks.
Full installation and commissioning in the coming weeks will form part of a range of hyperbaric pressure testing systems operating in a purpose-built pressure testing facility.
Our engineers will provide full operator training including high pressure system functionality, practical activities and demonstrations of all the essential pressure system safety procedures.
