Installation, Commissioning and Training

F.A.T, Delivery, Installation, S.A.T, Training & Certification

We have a team of specialist engineers responsible for the manufacture and installation of each piece of Pressure Testing Equipment that leaves the premises.

Following the completion of a successful Factory Acceptance Test (F.A.T), formulated by both parties and based heavily upon the operational requirements of the customer, we strip down the equipment, ship to the customer’s site and re-assemble and/or install in-situ.

Upon successful installation, the equipment is re-tested, commissioned and a Site Acceptance Test (S.A.T) carried out to ensure the customer is happy with the operation of the equipment.

Training is delivered regarding the correct operation of the equipment, its safety features and general do’s & don’ts is carried out and documented with a Certificate of Competence for each trainee user.  Both hard and electronic copies of all Operation and Maintenance documentation is provided.

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

All of the individual elements that complete the full scope of supply; Pressure Vessels, Pressure Control Systems and all other ancillary equipment are inspected and/or tested within a KW Designed Solutions F.A.T:

KW Designed Solutions work closely with a number of logistics companies to ensure that equipment is delivered safely to the customer’s site without fear of damage during transit.  Furthermore, with thorough planning and the implementation of efficient packaging, we ensure that the most cost effective methods of transportation are used.


Our team of specialist engineers have the skills, experience, qualifications and equipment to ensure that the installation is carried out safely and in a time efficient manner, reducing the amount of disruption that the customer undergoes.   Prior to Installation, our Appointed Person will liaise with the customer to ensure that adequate lifting equipment is available or whether it has to be provided by KWDS.

Training & Certification

The operation, functionality and safety features of the equipment are all included as part of a 1 day training session that is delivered by the KW Designed Solutions team.  Upon completion of the training, each trainee is issued with a certificate of competence to satisfy the customers own quality systems.
